This morning the American Red Cross of Maine presented Chief Moulton with the "Community Impact Award" on behalf of the work of Scarborough Maine Police Department for Operation HOPE.
"The opioid epidemic is ruining lives, tearing families apart and killing people in the community. The Scarborough Police Department recognized that a new approach was needed. It launched Operation HOPE on October 1, 2015, based on a successful approach by police in Gloucester, Mass. Since then, Operation HOPE has helped at least 300 Mainers suffering from addiction to access treatment."
We are currently at 316.
Thank you Red Cross!
